AirDisaster.Com began operations in 1996 as a small website dedicated to aviation safety information under the name 'The Aviation Accident Site.'
As part of a massive site renovation in September, 1998, the website was re-launched under its new name, 'AirDisaster.Com.' Although the name is not politically correct, it is a straightforward, accurate, and easy-to-remember description of a website that focuses on airline accidents and incidents.
Today, AirDisaster.Com is the premiere website of its kind on the internet, serving over 5 Million unique visitors monthly. Our Message Forums host hundreds of discussions every day, and our interactive Accident Database is used by major media outlets such as The Associated Press and Reuters for their airline accident research. In addition, we feature the largest Accident Photo Gallery on the internet.
