Solicitation of e-mail addresses. It is required that users who register for posting priviledges in the Discussion Forum portion of the website use a valid e-mail address. These e-mail addresses are secured for the purposes of sending forum announcements, and so that other forum members may contact a member for private discussion or debate. Any user who does not wish to display his/her e-mail address publicly in the Discussion Forums may disable this feature.

E-mail addresses submitted to our opt-in Mailing List and Accident Notification Service will not be made publicly available to anyone under any circumstances.

Automated collection of information. For security purposes, the IP (internet protocol) address of each of our users is automatically recorded. In addition, when a user posts a message in the Discussion Forums, the IP address of the posting computer is recorded.

The collection of this information allows AirDisaster.Com to pinpoint the origin of malicious activity, as well as to conduct geographical marketing research.

User IP addresses will never be distributed publicly, and are available only to AirDisaster.Com personnel.
