The aircraft [RP-C8893] crashed while landing at Caticlan after a scheduled passenger flight from Manila. According to reports, the 56-seat turboprop was attempting to land on runway 6 (2,657ft) when it undershot the approach, crashed short of the runway, and slid into a conrete wall just short of the terminal building. Civil Aviation Authority Director General Ruben Ciron said that the aircraft crashed "due to unfavorable wind conditions." 22 passengers and crewmembers were injured.
