The aircraft [RA-85185], on a scheduled passenger flight from the Black Sea resort of Anapa to St. Petersburg, crashed in eastern Ukraine after an in-flight fire reportedly broke out. The flight crew issued a distress call to Air Traffic Control 1537 Moscow time (1137 GMT), reporting heavy turbulence and an onboard fire. The plane disappeared from radar screens at 1539 (1139 GMT), and wreckage was located shortly after.
