Date: 02 August 2005
Airline: Air France
Flight No.: 358
Aircraft: Airbus A340-313X
Location: Toronto, Canada
Fatalities: 0:309

The aircraft [F-GLZQ], arriving in Toronto on a scheduled passenger flight from Paris, touched down on runway 24L (9000x200ft) at 4:04pm local time. The aircraft was unable to stop on the runway, and was then observed to run off the end, coming to rest in a shallow gully about 600 feet from the runway 06R threshold with its fuselage split into several pieces. Approximately four minutes later, the Airbus erupted in flames and the fuselage was engulfed shortly thereafter.
