The aircraft broke off its first
ILS approach to runway 4 at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport
due to low clouds and mist. While circling for the second approach, the aircraft
developed engine problems. The crew reported to the tower that both engines
had failed, and shortly after, the aircraft crashed into wooded terrain 9nm
from the runway 4 threshold.
