The aircraft [B-18616] landed at Naha Airport on a scheduled flight from Taipei at 10:27 local time. Just after arriving on the stand, a fire erupted near the no.1 engine, and passengers were evacuated using the emergency slides. Minutes later, a large explosion occured in the center part of the aircraft, and the jetliner was destroyed.
