HASSLE-FREE USAGE POLICY:

AirDisaster.Com is commited to providing the most enjoyable, interruption-free web experience possible for our visitors.
As most of you know, the majority of larger internet properties have, over the past couple of years, begun to introduce various new advertising mediums, most notably 'popup' and 'popunder' advertising windows.
A 'pop' advertisement is a new browser window which spawns either behind, or in front of, the requested website page. These windows generally promote a service, product, or website, but have also been used to force users to download unwanted software, change their Internet Explorer homepage without their knowledge, as well as other underhanded tactics.
On top of that, they are extremely annoying.
They have, however, become the latest trend in advertising, and are seen as an effective way of reaching a larger audience of internet surfers, many of whom have been conditioned to ignore traditional banner advertisements. Thus, the prices charged by web publishers for 'pop' windows are exponentially higher than those for traditional banner ads.
Effective October 11, 2002, our commitment to our viewers is as follows:
Each user of this website will be showed, at maximum, one (1) popunder window per 12 hour time period. Once this popunder window has been displayed, no further popunder advertisements will be displayed for the following 12 hour period. Once that 12 hour period has passed, one (1) additional popunder window may be displayed. No popup ads (ads which pop in front of the main content window) will be displayed on this website.
Please note that, while we would love to be able to remove all 'pop' advertisements, this is not financially feasible for us at this time.
Operating a website such as this one is very expensive, and we genuinely feel that asking our users to endure one popunder advertisement per 12 hours is not asking too much in return for the free service we provide.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding this new policy, please don't hesitate to contact me at chris@airdisaster.com.
