| Accident Description: | The aircraft's pitot tubes (which measure ram air and thus provide an air speed indication) were iced over after the crew failed to activate the anti-ice system in freezing rain conditions. This led to erroneous airspeed indications, a stall, and a spin from which the crew was unable to recover. Pilot error. |
