| Accident Description: | The aircraft crashed into the sea off the coast of Mitsamiouli, Comoros while attempting to land at Moroni (HAH) after a scheduled flight from the Yemeni capital city of San'a. Weather at the time of the accident was clear buy windy, with weather reports around the time of the accident showing winds in excess of 40mph (FMCH 292300Z 21025G35KT 9999 FEW020 25/16 Q1017 TEMPO 18015G30KT). A 13-year-old girl was rescued from the water some 13 hours after the accident, becoming the only known survivor. |
